John Lewis customers can treat themselves to a little me-time in luxury while out Christmas shopping this year.
That’s because the department store is launching a new ‘premium’ perk for customers that are signed up to its loyalty scheme.
The retailer is setting up a VIP lounge on the fifth floor of its Oxford Street store in London, which they say will be an ‘exclusive hideaway’.
My John Lewis members will be able to book a one-hour slot for the lounge to ‘take a moment for themselves’ and enjoy some fab freebies, including one complimentary glass of sparkling wine, a non-alcoholic option or a hot drink, plus small bites from Benugo and Waitrose chocolates.
If this weren’t enough, those in the lounge will also be treated to complimentary Neal’s Yard Remedies treatments, as well as hand and arm massages.
Additional food and drink will also be available to purchase in the lounge, for those wanting more.
The space will be open from November 4 until December 24, from midday until 5pm (7pm on thursdays), seven days a week.
Booking is open now for slots at experiences.johnlewis.com and access is free for anyone signed up to the department’s store loyalty scheme.
Walk-ins are also welcome, but will be subject to availability on the day.

And if your family isn’t all signed up for the membership scheme, don’t worry as you can still take them along with you. Only one person needs to be a member, and then they are able to bring up to two guests on the day.
Children are welcome, but the website warns that the space has been ‘designed with adults in mind’.

There’s no strict rule on how many children are allowed in, but the terms and conditions do ‘recommend a maximum of three children per adult’.
Guests are instructed to arrive 10 minutes before their time slot, and it should be noted that those who are more than 15 minutes late risk forfeiting their slot to walk-in guests.
John Lewis adds that the lounge is fully accessible for wheelchair users and can fit up to 30 guests per hour.
This comes after John Lewis recently revealed it would be bringing a beloved 00s brand back the the UK high street.
From February 2026, John Lewis will carry Topshop’s spring collection, while a select six stores will also carry Topman.
The new Topshop spring collection will feature 120 pieces for lovers of the cult brand to choose from, and will be given a ‘prime’ position in stores, according to John Lewis managing director, Peter Ruis.
‘I think the best fashion brands are multi-generational. The brilliance of Topshop is it is so affordable,’ he said.
And John Lewis is also one of the only places you can find Quality Street’s new mystery flavour for 2025.
The new sweet is only being sold in John Lewis and Waitrose stores with Quality Street pick and mix stations.
Talking about the new sweet, Rachael Mundy, marketing manager for gifting and seasonal at Nestlé Confectionery UK & Ireland, said: ‘Each year we look forward to bringing a limited-edition sweet into the mix to excite and delight Quality Street fans, but this year we’ve taken it a step further by keeping the flavour top secret.
‘We can’t wait to find out what the nation thinks the flavour is, and we’re very much looking forward to hearing some of the guesses
